Free coffee, real conversation: we’re backing R U OK? Day

By Laura Essert

R U OK? Day lands on Thursday 10 September, and the team at Ray White Upper North Shore & Northern Beaches is getting behind it the way we know best: over a coffee.

R U OK? Day exists to remind us that a genuine conversation can change someone’s day, and sometimes their life. One question, asked properly, matters. So this year our agents are shouting free coffees at cafes right across the Upper North Shore and Northern Beaches. Pop in, grab a cuppa, and ask someone how they’re really going.

Where to get your free coffee on the day

  • 2KF, Mona Vale — the first 100 coffees are on us, with The KJM Collective: Kylie Segedin, Josephine Cowling and Melissa Pease
  • Bacino, Mona Vale — the first 100 coffees are on us, with Sam Thompson
  • Evolve, Wahroonga — 7am to 8am, with Domenic Maxwell and team
  • Roseville Bakehouse, Roseville — 7:30am to 8:30am, with Jessica Cao and team
  • Bite Me Bakehouse, Mount Colah — 8:15am to 9:15am, with Claudia Gomez and team
  • Somewhere North, St Ives Chase — 9am to 10am, with David Beveridge and team
  • Manna Coffee, Pennant Hills — 9:30am to 10:30am, with Dion Verzeletti and Nathan Leuzzi and team, coffees on us and on Manna Coffee
  • Vertical Espresso, South Turramurra — the first 50 small coffees are on us, with Liana Power and team
  • Blu Eatery, Hornsby – the first 100 coffees from 8:30am are on us, with Barry Hudson and Eddie Yiu
  • Six & Seven, Westleigh – 9am to 10am, with Amy Kaslar and team
  • Top Shot Espresso 8am-9am & Julian’s Cafe 9am-10am, Elanora Heights – your coffee is on us, with Duane Hunter, Mitch Wachter and team

Why we’re doing this

R U OK? Day runs on a simple idea: ask, listen, encourage action, and check in. A coffee is just the excuse. The conversation is the point.

Our agents live and work in these communities every day, and we know that a five-minute chat at a local café can carry more weight than people realise. If someone in your life has seemed a bit off lately, Thursday 10 September is a good day to ask them properly, and actually wait for the answer.

Grab a coffee, start a conversation, and check in on the people around you.

Proudly supporting R U OK? Day, learn more here.
